DBBet login not working? Here's how to fix it
Most DBBet login failures in Kenya come down to four things: the phone-number format, a forgotten password, a stale app version, or an account that was never finished during registration. Work through the checks below in order — the first two solve the majority of cases.
On this page
1. Check your phone-number format
This is the single most common cause. DBBet accounts in Kenya are tied to your mobile number, and people routinely try to log in with a different format from the one they registered with.
- Try it as 07XX XXX XXX — the local format.
- Then try 2547XX XXX XXX — the international format without the plus.
- Remove any spaces, dashes or brackets.
If one format is rejected and the other is accepted, that is your answer — use the working one from now on.
2. Reset your password
Use the forgot-password link on the login screen. The reset code goes to the phone number registered on the account, so you need access to that SIM to complete it.
A detail that catches people out: if you have more than one line and registered on your second SIM, the code lands there — not on the number you use every day.
3. Make sure the account was actually created
An interrupted signup — a dropped connection, a closed tab, an unconfirmed step — can leave you believing you have an account when registration never completed. If both number formats return "not registered", this is the likely explanation.
The fix is simply to go through registration again. If the number really is already in use, the system will tell you, and you can go back to the password reset in step 2.
4. App or browser — try the other one
The DBBet app and the mobile site open the same account and the same balance, so if one will not let you in, the other is a fast way to tell whether the problem is your account or your app install.
- Log in via the browser. If that works, your account is fine and the app is the problem.
- Update or reinstall the app. Delete the old file, download the current APK and install it again.
- On iPhone, DBBet runs as a home-screen shortcut added through Safari rather than an App Store app — see the install guide.
5. Clear the basics — network and cache
- Switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi. A half-connected network often produces a login that spins and fails.
- Clear your browser cache, or try a private/incognito window.
- Turn off any VPN. A connection that looks like it is coming from another country can interfere with login.
- Check your phone's date and time are set automatically — a wrong clock breaks secure connections.
6. Locked, restricted or self-excluded accounts
If your credentials are definitely right and you still cannot get in, the account itself may be restricted. That happens for a few reasons: repeated failed login attempts, a verification step that is still outstanding, or a self-exclusion or account limit you set previously.
7. When to contact support
Contact DBBet support if you have worked through the steps above and still cannot log in — particularly if you have changed phone number, since password resets go to the registered line and you cannot fix that yourself.
To get it resolved in one exchange rather than five, include:
- The phone number or username on the account.
- What happens exactly — the error message, word for word.
- Whether you are on the app or the browser, and which phone.
- When it started, and anything that changed just before (new phone, new SIM, reinstall).
Never share your password with anyone. DBBet staff will never ask for your full password or your M-Pesa PIN.
